MSF provided emergency medical and mental healthcare in New York and New Jersey following Hurricane Sandy in 2012.
Our teams responded to the COVID-19 pandemic in several states across the US, including New York, Michigan, Texas, Florida, Arizona, and New Mexico.
In August 2024, we began supporting nonprofit groups that are bringing humanitarian aid to migrants and asylum seekers crossing the US-Mexico border by traversing the Sonoran Desert into Arizona. We handed over these activities shortly thereafter.
